The Outer Hebrides, officially known by its Gaelic name Na h-Eileanan Siar, consists of a 150 mile long chain of islands filled with beautiful beaches and lochs. It is separated from the Scottish Mainland by a strip of dangerous water known as the Minch. Gaelic is spoken by most of the local communities. |
