Scotweb’s MD, Dr Nicholas J Fiddes, has written a free illustrated e-book, as a gift to help kilt lovers everywhere. In simple non-technical language it covers every aspect of buying a kilt, choosing your tartan, and accessorising an outfit for every occasion.
As a Governor of the Scottish Tartans Authority, and founder of the world’s first company to market kilts on the Internet (yes, Scotweb) no one is better qualified to offer such advice. Impartial and objective, this is a personal work and is not a Scotweb publication.
Phone enquiry regarding sizing were helpful. Pleased with the strap- it does the job and was free!

A good functional product but beware when choosing your size... The measurements are the smallest and largest lengths of the strap with the clips together. My waist is 30.5in but the "small" (28-34in) is far too short for the sporran to sit correctly. The store put this right speedily and efficiently but if it had been a time critical order I would have been sunk. I suggest that you add 6 inches to your waist size when ordering.

While not as pretty as the nickel and antique silver chains, this is sturdy. You certainly won't lose your sporran from the chain breaking.
